This is an audio-only call (like Clubhouse) that lasts 30-60 minutes depending on how active the questions are and how many guests are on stage.

THE SHOW
Each conversation lasts between 30-60 minutes. Listeners can call in or send questions to us via the chat feature.
It’s audio-only (like Clubhouse) so you don’t need to look cute for the event unless you want to!
We will chat together via Facebook messenger (if there are several guests, it will be a group chat) before we go on air. This is also how we’ll communicate if there are any tech issues.
The app is backed by Bill Gates and focuses on Books, Movies/Tv Shows, and Podcasts. My Young Adult Lounge has over 681k members and events have several hundred in attendance and growing every week.
Please ensure you are in a quiet room for the stream. Any people and pets aside from you should be in another room during the production.
We’re keep the show itself clean, meaning no swearing or anything too graphic as many of our viewers watch with their families in the room or nearby.
The dev team from the app is always a part of our events to help with any tech issues, manage trolls, etc.
I am your sole point of contact for the event and all communication is done through me.
You are responsible for sharing the promo for the stream with your fans so they can come join the fun too!
HOW TO APPLY FOR AN EPISODE
Email likewise@kmrobinsonbooks.com with the following information:
Author Name
The *one* book you’ll be talking about during the stream
Link to the book on Amazon
What episode (title/date) you’re applying for. You can apply for more than one!
And tell me why you’d be a good fit (this is your chance to pitch me…I can only have a handful of authors per event so I have to make the choices that fit best with the others)
If selected, you’ll be asked for your Facebook personal profile for the episode group chat—messages will be very, very minimal (the prep information and anything that comes up during the event…it’s not a conversation and you won’t get too many notifications)
Bonus: even if you’re not on an episode, if you show up in the events and talk in the chat or join the stage to ask a question, I give as many shout outs as possible if I know you (so time to befriend me!)
The team will do a quality check once we receive your application and then place the best fits in the different episodes. During the initial launch, it will be very hard for us to respond to everyone, but once the initial rush passes, we’ll be doing our best to give feedback to everyone.
If you don’t get an episode this time, please feel free to apply with this or other books in the future. This is a weekly, ongoing stream so there are lots of opportunities to get involved.
In addition to this, there will be openings for dedicated solo events where I interview you about all your YA books. These are spaced out to give our listeners the opportunity to meet groups, individuals, and have open Q&A events. New dates will be dropped once we knock out a few episodes so we aren’t scheduling too far in advance.
